DS appeals more to casual users like me, who may just want something fun to do at airports, on the bus, etc. It's cheaper, and they have many games geared towards traditionally non-gamers. Once connected, wifi works great, touch screen is cool, and best of all Nintendo can always bank on the golden brand called Mario. They know how to milk him, too.
