		<description>I feel the pain. Here in NYC, stuff like this happens far too regularly, especially the &quot;attempted delivery&quot; scam. I&#039;ve seen my local driver go by my apartment building without trying to deliver and called FED EX, only to be told that delivery was attempted. I&#039;ve chased the driver down...all kinds of headaches. They just simply do not care at all about your inconvenience.</description>

		<description>continue reading if carrier was FedEx Ground: the package was probably damaged some time between dispatch to 5 pm which means it happened during the driver&#039;s watch (most likely accidental). fyi, the loaders have been trained NOT to load damaged packages AND drivers are instructed not to take any damaged packages out for delivery. therefore, damage happened during the transit to you and not from apple to fedex. file a claim with apple and they should send you another.  it will be a process for the claim to be fulfilled because apple may want to &quot;see&quot; the damaged item before issuing you a replacement or refund. apple may be nice enough to expedite the process before inspecting the damaged item but that depends on apple. in the meantime, your package is, with 99% certainty, sitting in the quality assurance cage at your local fedex ground facility. one option to minimize anymore headaches is to request for a hold-at-location pick-up and personally pick up the replacement laptop when it arrives. do not call 800-go-fedex, you must call the local fedex ground facility and ask to be transferred to the QA dept. once you get to the correct department, they can tell you exactly what happened to the package, status of the damage claim and can hold the replacement for your pickup.</description>

		<description>I have a similar problem with UPS.. im on the end of the route.. and iv had numerous instances waiting all day for a package to show to get a &quot;Delivery exception no one answered&quot; message. Though i tend to ALWAYS call UPS and bitch even though theres usually nothing they will do till the next buisness day... Once i was waiting for a computer and they pulled it and I ended up meeting the truck 2 blocks away... cuz i was really angry... do these companies realize we have to stay home and wait around for them losing a day of work oftentimes?
